A Day Of History

I spent yesterday with my sister and niece at the Los Angeles Natural History Museum. I had a great time and found it really inspirational. Also, it’s fun seeing it with my niece, who is 10, and makes everything more exciting.

There is a temporary exhibit on a prehistoric bird called Pterosaur that was pretty interesting. I also enjoyed the gem vault and jade carvings.

The one thing that made my sister and me laugh was when we both walked into the African Mammal Hall and saw the elephants at the far end of the room. We both said, at the same time, “WHOAH!” It was a trip back in time for us! We hadn’t seen this museum since we were in elementary school, so seeing it for the first time in years was a fun feeling.

Below are some photos from the museum excursion. Please forgive the reflective glass on some of the photos. I was trying to take photos at different angles to get rid of the glare, but sometimes it’s impossible to do that.

Have a great week everyone!
