Print Your Work

I’ve been procrastinating on buying a photo printer for my photography. I don’t know why I haven’t printed myself…possibly because of the learning curve???

Recently I’ve been looking at the Epson P800 as a possible purchase. Yes, it’s expensive, but from what the reviews say, it’s really quite good. For me, the cost isn’t the issue; it’s more about where am I going to put this monster of a machine in my apartment? 🙂

So, wouldn’t you know that one of my favorite photographers, David duChemin, reviewed the printer and gave it really good marks. I’m seriously thinking about buying the printer now…just need to find room for it. You can read David’s review on it by clicking on the following link:

I’m finalizing my trip for the fall and going to a couple of extra surprise places. I hope they turn out to be nice photographic locations. Snow may be in the forecast that time of year, so I don’t know if all the roads are going to be open. Keeping positive thoughts…

Below is a photo from my trip to Lassen Volcanic National Park. This was at just above 10,000 ft. and the two people were hiking to the top of Lassen Peak. There was a ton of snow and both of them were wearing crampons on their boots. Obviously it was going to be a challenging hike for them.

As the two of them were going up the mountain, a national park ranger pulled up in his SUV into the parking lot and yelled at another group of people coming down the mountain. The group had ventured off the snow and started down a dirt portion of the mountain. The ranger yelled at them and said they had to stay on the snow or he was going to give them a ticket. Why, you may ask? Well, if they go on the dirt, they would be creating a trail of their own that could confuse future hikers and lead them astray from the main trail. The snow is fair game the ranger said. I’ve never seen a group of people scamper so fast to get back to snow.

Have a great week everybody!
