Yes, it’s that time of year again when fall color hits the Eastern Sierra Nevada. Aspens should be peaking sometime over this next week at Lake Sabrina and other areas around 10,000 feet.
My sister is on a road trip with my brother-in-law and niece around the Bishop, California area and they’re going to take in some of the scenery. I’m sure she’ll be seeing some pretty amazing aspens turning bright yellow.
I’m looking forward to my trip to Yosemite and Lassen Volcanic National Park at the end of October. I’m not sure what kind of color I’ll find in Lassen, but in Yosemite the color should be peaking in the area of Wawona. Yosemite Valley may not be peaking, but there should be some nice color in some of the areas.
If you’re thinking of visiting the Eastern Sierra during this amazing time of year, check out the book below at your local book store or online. It’s a comprehensive guide to fall color in the Sierra.
Have a great week everyone!
