While on my last trip to Yosemite, there was a pretty good amount of rain that fell. Since I live in an area where there is very little rain, I welcomed any amount that happened on the trip.
I did a number of hikes in the rain, but the photo below is of the pine tree branches I took shelter under as a huge downpour happened on a five mile hike. To give you an idea of how hard it rained during the hike, every inch of me was soaked including my wallet in my back pocket. Did I mind getting wet? Nope, I loved it!
I haven’t really planned any trips for this next year yet. Right now I’m partially focusing on a really long road trip that I want to do: 16 national parks and 2 national monuments in three or four weeks. When would this take place? Hard to say. I’d like to do it sooner than later, but I’ll have a better idea around March. I’m thinking around autumn, but which year is hard to say. I think 2017 would be best, but 2018 may be better…we’ll see…
Have a great week everyone!
