The picture below I took during my last trip to Yosemite in October 2016. No, it’s not a forest fire burning out of control; It’s actually a clearing storm that was going through the forest in an area just west of Yosemite called Foresta. The forest in this area was burned pretty severely back in 2009, which gave this photo kind of a misleading look. The trees are still pretty sparse there, but every year seems to bring new foliage.
