The photo below was taken in October of 2012 around Glacier Point in Yosemite. The coyotes up in the area are familiar with people and tend to get closer than they should. Hopefully visitors remember they shouldn’t approach or feed the animals no matter how beautiful or cute they are.
This winter season brought a lot of snow up at Glacier Point. The Yosemite webcam up there is pretty high above the ground, but was almost covered in snow. It’s hard to say when the road up there is going to be open for the spring/summer season.
Speaking of road openings, I’m not sure I’m going to make it up Tioga Pass at the end of May. There are a couple more snow days coming this week and from what I read on a blog from one of the winter rangers, there was about 100 inches of snow in the high sierra recently! I’m keeping optimistic though…anything can happen.
Have a great week everyone!
