Dogwoods In Bloom

Yes, it’s that time of the year again! The dogwoods in Yosemite are in bloom! The white-flowering trees can be seen throughout the park, but most notably around the west end of the park, around the Merced River. The flowering should be peaking this weekend and this following week. If you get a chance to see it, it’s well worth the drive!

Below is a photo of the dogwood flowers above the Merced River that I took a while back. I wish I had taken the time to go this year!

I’m getting ready to head up to Mammoth at the end of May and hoping Tioga Pass will be open when I get there. It’s getting close and the plowing still has a long way to go on the road. If it isn’t open, I’ll find some other misadventures to take on. 🙂

Have a great week everyone!
