Many Glacier

My first night in Glacier National Park was at the Many Glacier Hotel. I spent a little extra money to get a lakeside view room and YES, IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! Talk about an amazing view!

Below is a photo of the interior of my room, #312. While it was a beautiful third floor room, getting to it was a bit of a challenge. The hotel is older than most and has no elevators. I had to go up three flights of stairs through a narrow hallway. So, for those of you thinking of spending a few nights there, I have some strong advice: PACK LIGHT! 🙂

The next photo shows the view from my room’s sitting area, looking out the window. You can see in the photo there was a small two seated bench on the balcony to enjoy the lake and mountains.

Of course the next morning was when I had the best view. Sunrise was so inspiring! I showed this photo in an earlier post, but it’s worth showing again. I also cleaned up the image a little more and made the mountains more defined.

The last photo is of evening twilight at the hotel with Swiftcurrent Lake and the mountains in the background.

Next week’s post will be of my hike to Grinnell Glacier. So many images to share. It was one of the best hikes I’ve ever done. If you do get up to Glacier National Park, the Grinnell Glacier hike should be #1 priority on your list of things to do.

Have a great week everyone!
