They Shall Not Grow Old

I was a little late going to see this movie: They Shall Not Grow Old.

Director Peter Jackson (The Lord of the Rings Trilogy and King Kong) has done an amazing job restoring and colorizing hours of movie footage from World War I. The images in the movie are truly incredible! Anytime someone can restore film and photos that are that old and worn, you’ve got to give them credit. If you get a chance to see it while it’s still in the theater, please try and do so. If not, don’t worry, it’s currently available on video.

I’m getting ready to head off to Yosemite and the Great Smokey Mountains in the next few weeks. Looking forward to see my favorite park (Yosemite) and catch some new hiking trails and images of the Smokies.

Have a great week everyone!
