Black Suspension Bridge

Below is an image of the Black Suspension Bridge at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. The bridge spans 440 ft. over the Colorado River. I used a 600 millimeter equivalent lens to get the photo. In other words, the bridge was really far away from where I was standing at the top of the canyon.

The other two images are to give you some perspective of the Grand Canyon. People would just go out to any outcropping to get the best view they could. Sometimes that can be dangerous. I was standing next to a woman who was concerned for her husband because he went out to an outcrop like the ones in the photos. If you do get a chance to go to the Grand Canyon, please use common sense and stay safe. A number of people have fallen over cliffs at the canyon by not paying attention to what they were doing.

I’d like to extend a very Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the U.S. and across the world, especially our men and women serving in the armed forces. Take care of the ones you love and have an incredible holiday!

Have a great week everyone!
