I’m always looking for ways to improve my photographic technique either through workshops in the field or reading online articles and books. With the way technology is consistently changing in today’s world, learning is an on going process that will never end.

In the December issue of Outdoor Photographer there is an article titled “5 Steps To More Professional Photographs.” The article was written by Elizabeth Carmel who is a professional photographer and owns two photo galleries. Her photography work really makes some strong statements and I’ve admired her skills and technique for quite a while.

The article Elizabeth wrote touches on various elements, from a good photographic composition down to post processing of images in photo editing software. This article can be beneficial not only to up-and-coming professionals, but also to people who are casual photographers using their pocket cameras and iPhones.
