Funny how we never visit places we’ve lived near for years…

After living in Ventura County for over fifteen years I realized that I’ve never visited one of our nations best national parks which is right around the corner from me: Channel Islands National Park.

This morning I decided to go for a walk around Ventura Harbor and ended up at the visitors center for Channel Islands National Park. Below are a couple of images I took of the visitors center. What I really need to do is schedule a boat trip to the islands themselves. Hopefully that will happen this year. It’s definitely about time!
