It’s been really cold here in Ventura County for the past few weeks. Winter seems to still be here, but March 20th is the day spring should be starting. While I love fall and winter, spring will be a nice change for once.

Last weekend I walked around Ventura Harbor so I could get some exercise. While it was a cold morning, I remembered that spring and early summer at the harbor can bring on some amazing nature changes.

Below are four images I took back in early June 2011 of the beach around Ventura Harbor. It’s always nice to see the plant colors bring new life to the beach.
