My trip in October to Crater Lake National Park was incredible! I had never been there and I was in complete awe of the entire experience.

I stayed at the Crater Lake Lodge, right on the rim of the crater, which made easy access to a number of trails along the rim. The lodge is only open through the first week of October, so I was there the very last week.

While hiking within the park, I sometimes passed people on the trail who all had huge smiles on their faces. Everyone said hello and always had pretty much the same comment: “Isn’t it AMAZING here?!” I definitely agreed.

Below are some images from the area. I want to go back sometime when there is snow. I’m sure it’s cold, but from what I hear the views warm you up pretty quick.
