I was looking through different podcasts on iTunes the other day and came across one called “Photography 101”. I wasn’t sure if it would be something that I’d like, so I gave it a look (it’s a video podcast).
Scott Wittenburg, a visual arts teacher at Upper Arlington High School in Ohio, is the person who put together the podcast. Each podcast tackles different topics of photography from depth of field to night photography. If you need a quick guide on the basics of photography, connect to iTunes and check it out.
The podcast, while good in photography education, wasn’t the thing that caught my attention. What really was a head-turner for me was going to the Upper Arlington High School website and checking out the photography contest the school holds annually that Scott mentioned in one of his podcasts. Some of the winners and runners up in the competition have absolutely amazing photos. The photographers’ ages range from 14 to 18 years old. I believe some of these young adults are really going to do incredible work in the future with their skills in photography. Good luck to them all!
