Yosemite is seeing more water flow through the park than it’s seen in decades. The Merced River especially is reaching levels not seen in a while. It’s possible that the meadows may become flooded this year during the spring melt. Hopefully there won’t be too much damage if it floods areas of Yosemite Village.
Below is an image of a meadow with the Merced River winding around it. The image was taken in May of 2014. This year that meadow may be pretty soggy from the water levels of the river.
For my fall trip to the Rockies, I’ve added one night at Bryce Canyon Lodge. The reservation came up and I grabbed it. It’ll be nice to see Bryce again, especially since this year is the 100th anniversary of it being a national park.
Have a great week everyone!
