Photo Opportunities In The City

I go grocery shopping on the weekends at a fairly new shopping complex near where I live.  It’s an outdoor mall and has all sorts of interesting stores.  The mall also has a multiplex movie theater that has some really great art panels lining the exterior of the building.  I’ve been looking for a good opportunity to take photos of the panels, but during the day usually didn’t work because the sun was shining on them too intensely or at night the spotlights pointing at them created a really bad glare.

So, this weekend seemed to be the perfect time to take the photos.  It’s been cloudy and overcast and the clouds seemed to make a great light diffuser.  Below are a few pictures of the panels that I took.  I’ve posted color versions and black and white ones as well.  I think the picture of the two dancers looks better in black and white.  It gives the photo a kind of timeless quality…reminiscent of Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire movies.
