We’ve had a really dry winter here in California. I just read online that a storm front should be moving into the area on Thursday, so that should bring a huge relief to the state. Drought conditions here are really bad and hopefully the amount of rain coming will be good. There should be a total of three days of rain, most of it hitting on Friday.
What does that mean for photographers in California? The possibilities of great pictures!!! I’m hoping that not only the rain is good but that the photo ops are incredible. I’ve already been planning for the weekend and the different areas to check out. I’m not sure how far I’m going to travel; it really depends on the cloud conditions. There is a possibility that early Sunday morning may bring the best photo ops because the storm will be blowing over and showing some really amazing cloud formations.
The storm will also bring the opportunity for me to test out my new camera’s weather sealed body and lens. I’ve been wanting to test it out for a couple of months in a good down pour, but there hasn’t been any rain up until now. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a fun time…
