Below is an image I took around the east entrance of Yosemite in October 2013. There are a number of tarns around the east entrance, but this one has a pretty nice parking area. You can see Mount Dana really well in this image (peak on the left in the image).

I just made reservations for a couple of nights at the end of my Yosemite trip for Sequoia National Park. I figured since I’m going to be in the area around that time, I might as well go for a couple of days. I’m still trying to think of some small day trips I can take before then since I’m not going on a larger trip this year. Spontaneity sure is interesting…
