Below is an image of the south fork of the Merced River. The image is not typical because it was taken in October of 2016 and the river usually doesn’t look like that in October. Usually there is a very small amount of water flowing through the river in fall. A rain storm came through the area and brought the river level up really high. It was pretty impressive seeing the amount of water going down the river. It was also really loud and thunderous. Looking forward to Yosemite in the fall…and possibly in the next month…
