I returned Tuesday night last week from a good four days in the Sierra Nevada, including Yosemite! I did two nights of astrophotography which was really great! The Milky Way was high in the sky and looked incredible. I’m in the process of working on the night images in Lightroom and will post them as soon as I can.

Below are two images from my arrival in Yosemite early Saturday morning. I left home early Friday evening and arrived at Tunnel View at about 2am. I was the only one out photographing that night which really surprised me due to the incredible views of the stars. I stayed at Tunnel View up until sunrise and then made my way down into Yosemite Valley for early morning hiking. What an amazing feeling to be hiking as the sun is lighting up the valley!
