Below is an image from my second night of astrophotography while in Yosemite and Mammoth Lakes in June. The image is taken from Minaret Vista at Mammoth Mountain. You can see the light at the gondola station at the top of Mammoth Mountain and lights at Mammoth Mountain Lodge ski area. I stayed out there taking photos from 10pm until 3:20am, at which point I left and drove from Mammoth to the Yosemite high country to watch a sunrise. I’ll show an image from the sunrise in Yosemite in my next post.
