Are More People Turning To Mirrorless?

My latest camera is a mirrorless camera. At first I thought I was going to have a hard time adjusting to an electronic view finder and all the different features one has to offer, but after a few weeks I found that it was much better than I had hoped for.

Do I think other photographers are going to move over to mirrorless without any hesitation? No. I think it’s going to be a while before most do go through the transition. However, I didn’t expect one specific photographer to make the move so quickly.

Michael Frye, a professional photographer at the Ansel Adams Gallery in Yosemite National Park, has made the move to mirrorless. He may still shoot with his Canon as well, but he recently purchased one of Sony’s first full frame mirrorless cameras, the A7r. The great thing for Michael is that he can use his Canon lenses on the new Sony camera with an adapter. This will definitely save him money and he’ll get more use out of his incredible Canon glass.

Will more professionals go the route of mirrorless sooner than later? Who knows…but sooner may be the new later.

Have a great week everyone!
