I’m always on the look out for inspiration to keep my photography and photography dreams alive. I’ve found inspiration in music, in various forms of art, and of course in other photographer’s photographs. However, the one place where I find some of the best inspiration is in stories of people who do extraordinary things and make their dreams come true.
This weekend I watched a documentary on someone who really took her dreams to a new level and succeeded. Her name is Laura Dekker, a Dutch girl who has become the youngest circumnavigator ever to have sailed solo around the globe. The documentary video is called “Maidentrip” and can be found for sale or rent through iTunes or Amazon.com. Most of the footage in the video was shot by Laura herself and chronicles her voyage around the world, starting in Gibraltar and ending at the Caribbean island of St. Maarten.
Let’s all learn from this brave young lady and make our own dreams come true. Remember, life is short, so make it count!

Have a great week everyone!
