I just finished watching a movie for all you photographers, videographers, and anyone else who needs to be inspired to get up and do something in life. The movie is called: Mile…Mile & A Half.
The movie follows five friends who decide to document (in video, still images, and sound) the entire length of the John Muir trail in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The hike itself took them 25 days to cross the entire 211 miles, starting in Yosemite Valley (elevation 3,966 ft.) and ending at the top of Mount Whitney (elevation 14,505 ft.)
Along the way, the group encounters difficult and challenging obstacles (trails covered in deep snow being one of them), but also meet some really great people, including a young woman from Japan who was hiking the trail solo.
This is a movie that anyone at any age can enjoy and draw inspiration from. The movie is available for rent or purchase on iTunes and through Amazon.com. Also check your local cable company; they may be showing it on one of your favorite channels.
