I don’t know about the rest of the U.S., but California has had a really warm winter this year. I feel like it’s been summer for the past eight months. There have been a few rain showers here and there, but not enough to recover from the drought we’re having in this state. Hopefully February and March will have more rain.
I’ve been spending some time working with a friend on another photographic project. It’s very much in the early stages and we did some test shots this weekend. The photos didn’t turn out exactly the way I had hoped, but we’ll keep working on it.
While doing photos for the project, I found a shoji screen that really interested me. I liked the leading lines it created and took some pictures; one of the photos is below.
My annual trip to Yosemite in the fall looks like it’s going to be replace with a trip up the coast of Northern California. I’m looking to spend some time in Shelters Cove, Trinidad, and the Redwoods National and State Parks. It’ll be nice to get a different landscape to take photos of. I’m also planning a trip to Death Valley and some other locations outside of California, possibly sometime this year.
Have a great week everyone!
