A storm went through the Ventura area this weekend and it was great to see more rain. We’re far from recovering from the drought California suffered the past couple of years, but every little bit helps.

Thunder came as a surprise Saturday night, especially since Ventura and Oxnard rarely get thunder storms. The only time I get to experience a good amount of thunder storms is when I’m in the Eastern Sierras in late may and early June.

Speaking of the Eastern Sierras, I’m heading up there in early June for a week. As far as autumn goes, I’m slowly making plans on the trip up to the sequoias near Eureka.
