First off: Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers of the world!
Second: It has been kind of a slow weekend. I’m gearing up for my trip to the Sierras in the next few weeks…and more snow is on the way at the end of this week up there! I find it odd that there has been so much snow this late in spring.
As far as the rest of the weekend, I’ve been working on shooting portraits. Yes, I’m primarily a landscape photographer, but I want to do a photo project that is primarily a portrait project. I’ve been working with a friend who needs some portraits done and I have to say some of the photos are turning out really good! She seems pleased with some of them as well. I will eventually add a portrait section to my galleries, but need to get a larger portfolio together before I post it.
My work in the new version of Lightroom (Lightroom 6) is going good. Adobe added face recognition to the software and it works pretty good so far. The healing brush is improved as well and makes corrections in photos much easier. I’m still going over some of the extra bells and whistles, so I’ll write more in the coming month.
Have a great week everyone!
