Rock Climbing, Fireworks, And Fall Trip

I came across some photos of rock climbers I took back in October of 2013 while in Yosemite and have posted a few of them below.

So many people were standing in the meadows surrounding El Capitan and staring upward in awe at these adventurous guys. Personally, I’m not too sure I’d have the nerve to try what they do.

The last couple of photos are of their tents they sleep in at night. I don’t think I’d sleep very well knowing there’s nothing directly underneath me except for a long, long drop to jagged rocks below.

This week I’m planning on taking photos of fireworks at the Ventura Fair. I’m not really sure what night I’m going to do it, but at least now I know where I’m going to take the photos from. I had to do a little scouting the last couple of days to find a place, but I think it should work ok.

I’m really challenged with the plans for my fall trip. I keep coming up with different ideas, but not exactly sure how it’s going to pan out. For now, I’ll be going to the Redwoods up north near Crescent City and then over to Lassen Volcanic National Park. After that I’ll head south to Yosemite for the rest of the week. Things could change, but this seems to be what I’ll be doing. Looking forward to some nice new landscapes to take photos of!

Have a great week everyone!
