Last weekend I tested out my new wide angle and fisheye lenses at the beach. All I have to say is: WOW!!! I love these two lenses! Both are definitely a great purchase and well worth the price. I’ve posted two pictures below that I took during sunset. Gee, guess which one was taken with the fisheye lens?! LOL! Anyway, I’ll have to take a little more time and practice with the fisheye lens…it’s a little bit of a challenge.
So, guess what? I think the fall trip may be altered completely! I’ll know in the next couple of days, but it may be a complete fall trip to the Eastern Sierras and Yosemite. Timing and financial situations may make the Sierras a more realistic trip and the fall colors will be peaking at that time. I’m open to both experiences, but spending a lot of time in the Sierras during the fall color peak would be excellent. I have reservations up in Klamath, but not cancelling it until I’m sure about the possibilities. This is definitely a “you never know what’s going happen” type of situation. Besides, I would rather go up to Klamath and the Redwoods when the rhododendrons are in bloom, which would be late May and early June next year.
We’ve had a small amount of rain here in the Ventura area today, so that was a welcome relief. I’m hoping that the large hurricane that hit Taiwan last week makes its way across the Pacific Ocean and gives us more rain. I remember in the fall of 2009, a typhoon that hit Japan traveled across the Pacific Ocean and dropped a large amount of rain over Central California. It brought all the waterfalls in Yosemite back to life, so I’m hoping for a repeat this year. You never know…
Have a great week everyone!
