Convict Lake is one of my favorite lakes in the Eastern Sierras. I really enjoyed taking photos of the aspens around the lake this fall, but before I did that, I took the photo below at sunrise.
Most of the photographers that morning were huddled around the bridge near the entrance to the lake, but I didn’t want the same vantage point that everyone else was getting. Since I’d been there before, I knew there were other great spots.
Not far from the bridge I found an area I felt had a much better view, especially when the sun would light up the mountain peaks. I probably could have moved in closer for the photo, but that’s something to think about next time I go back to the lake.
On the home front, I’ll be visiting the Annenberg Space for Photography in the next week or so to see their newest exhibit. I’ll let you all know how it is in an up coming post and I’m sure as always it will be amazing.
Have a great week everyone!
