One morning this last week, I stopped along the coast and took the photo below. The lavender/purple shades were really beautiful that morning. I’m going to start looking for other places around the coastline to take photos of in the morning. I usually go to the same location because it’s convenient, but I’m sure there are more up toward Santa Barbara.
I’ll be going to the Annenberg Space for Photography next weekend sometime to see their latest exhibit. I’ll also stop at the Skirball Cultural Center to see their exhibit of Ansel Adams photos that were taken at Manzanar during World War II. Both exhibits should be really amazing and I’ll let you all know what I think next week.
I spent today at the movies and saw “To Catch A Thief” with Cary Grant and Grace Kelly and “45 Years” with Charlotte Rampling. To Catch A Thief is such a classic and I have a digital copy of it, but it was really nice to see on the big screen. As far as 45 Years, you have to like superb acting and real in depth character development to see it. Charlotte Rampling is such a class act and the looks she gives throughout the film are priceless, especially her face in the final frame before the screen goes to black and credits roll. Rampling is nominated for various Best Actress awards this year for her roll in the film and it’s obvious to see why. Check out the film at your local art house theater or see it when it becomes available on video. Click on the following link to go to the official movie website:
Have a great week everyone!
