It’s been nice to have some rain over this last weekend. I thought that either Saturday evening or this evening would provide some nice clouds over the ocean for a great sunset shot. Well, I was in one of my “Should I stay or should I go?” kind of moods this afternoon. I waited until the last minute, looked up in the sky, and decided to go out to the beach to take some photos.
Half way down the road I looked up in the sky and thought, “Oh, it looks like there are no clouds over the ocean..” With that in mind, I began to second guess my decision to go; I turned around and went home.
As I was approaching the driveway to my apartment complex, I looked back through the car window at the sunset and cringed. I immediately thought, “Darn it! I should have gone!” The sky was beginning to show a lot of clouds and some nice color. Oh well, I guess once again I learned my lesson; When in doubt, always follow through and just do it!
On a side note, I read a short article on a amateur student photographer from Germany who won a photo competition. I’ve provided the link below. It’s nice to hear success stories like it and is very inspiring. By the way, congratulations Tamina-Fluorentine Zuch for winning the competition!
