Sometimes I feel restricted with tripods. Yes, there are times they’re necessary, but then there are times when I think, “Just take the camera off the tripod, now, and get a great shot!”

With that in mind, check out the following article that was posted on 500px. It shows 21 photographers and how they go to any length to get the perfect shot. I have to admit, I don’t think I’d do some of the things a couple of them did. I like getting a great shot, but risking life and limb is a little crazy to me. I’m getting closer to my trip up through the Eastern Sierra and looking forward to some new locations. Lassen Volcanic National Park should be a great experience and I’m hoping to get some good photos there. If anything I’ll be scouting out some new locations for future trips. Getting away from the big city life is going to be nice!
