I’ve been back from my trip for a week now. I didn’t have time last Sunday to blog because I was on the road most of the day and returned home at 1:30am on Monday morning.
So, did I get good pictures? YES I DID!!!
I really enjoyed Mammoth and Yosemite, as usual, but the big surprise was Lassen Volcanic National Park. All I can say about that place is: WOW!!! I really want to return there soon. I was there mostly to scout out places to take pictures and found some great spots. I wasn’t prepared for the meadows with their early morning fog, so I’m definitely going to return for that.
Below are three pictures. The first is from Yosemite. It’s of a cute little place in Yosemite Valley called Fern Spring. Most people like taking pictures of it with shadows and overcast conditions, but I found that the light from the morning sun coming through the canopy of leaves from the trees above made it a great shot.
The next two are from Lassen Volcanic National Park. The first is of Lassen Peak with a little waterfall below. It was incredible to see in person. The other one is of Emerald Lake. Yes, it’s all snow with a little bit of teal colored water, but that’s a lake believe it or not. The snow hadn’t melted yet at that elevation.
I can’t begin to tell you how much snow was up at Lassen! People were skiing down huge mountain sides of snow! Crazy to see all of that in June.
More pictures to come in the weeks ahead and definitely updating my galleries!
Have a great week everyone!
