Below is an image of McLeod Lake in Mammoth Lakes from my trip in June. From the Horseshoe Lake parking area, the hike to McLeod Lake is about .6 miles (little over half a mile). If you want to just get out and do a quick hike, this is definitely the hike to do! The payoff: A gorgeous view! The lake has catch/release fishing if you want to fish.

I know there’s one lake I can’t wait to see…CRATER LAKE! 🙂 Looking forward to great views and hikes in October!
