Astrophotography Soon…I Hope

I’m not sure if Tioga Pass is going to be open when I go up next month to the Eastern Sierra. With close to a 200% snow year this last winter season, it’s hard to say when the road is going to open. If it does open, I’ll be driving up to about 10,000 feet and doing some astrophotography.

Last time I was up there taking photos of the stars, it was windy, cold, and the amount of light pollution coming from the southwest was a little more than I expected.

Below is an image from my last astrophotography session. I’ve been working on correcting the amount of light pollution in the image. I still have a little more “tweaking” to do and then I think I’ll be happy with the image. It definitely needs more sharpening.

Have a great week everyone!
