I think Death Valley is calling my name. Why you may ask? Well, it seems everything lately is reminding me of it.

First, the guy who works on my car (oil changes, etc.) was working a half day on Friday. He and his employees were going out to the desert over the weekend for dirt biking and beer. Sounds like a nice getaway.

Second, I woke up the other morning and was staring at one of the blankets on my bed. It looked like a maze of sand dunes. I took photos of it and posted them below so you could see what I mean.

Third and most importantly, it’s been exceptionally warm lately, which is strange for this time of year. I’m hoping it cools down a little and we get more rain here in California, but the heat definitely added to the thought of going to the desert.

In the meantime, I’m planning on going to the Annenberg Space for Photography and the Getty in the next few weeks. The latest exhibit at the Annenberg will be ending in May and I haven’t been out there yet to see it. The Getty is starting a couple of really interesting exhibits soon that I want to see, so I’ll have a review on both museums in the future.
