Lately I’ve been getting up exceptionally early in the morning. Being up right before the sun rises has given me a new energy to take on the day in a much more positive way. With that in mind, I’ve been grabbing my camera and taking to the streets to do some photography. Of course one of my favorite places to go when I’m up this early is the shopping area near where I live.

It was an overcast morning, which is the kind of morning I love. Not too many people were around and it was nice and quiet. Usually they pipe music through the outdoor area, which can be pleasant, but sometimes the quietness is a lot more welcome.

As you can see in a couple of the photos below, some of the utilities in the shopping area were left on overnight. The overhead lights of an eatery and the fire pit in front of a restaurant were fun to see. The dancing flames of the fire pit was a great surprise because not only did it look beautiful, but the warmth it gave off in the cool morning hours was very comforting.
