One of the best places in Yosemite to spend an evening is Tuolumne Meadows. The landscape takes on a whole other feeling as the sun starts to set. The granite domes surrounding the meadows turn a beautiful burnt auburn color and families of dear venture out into the meadows to graze for a late meal.
Below is one image I took in June of 2014 up in the meadows, right before sunset. I always feel a sense of peace when I see the deer quietly roaming through the meadows.
Hope everyone is taking care of themselves at this time. Looks like my next trip is going to be in October (keeping my fingers crossed). I’m reworking my original plans for my fall trip which includes more time in Yosemite…and possibly wandering up to Lassen Volcanic National Park.
Have a great week everyone!
