Fall In The Sierra!

It’s official! I’m going to the Sierras and Yosemite! This is going to be a great trip because I’ll be hitting the Eastern Sierras at peak fall season…which means beautiful, colorful fall photos! Can you tell I’m doing a “happy dance”?

To get in the spirit of fall photography, I mentioned in my last post that I purchased a book called “California’s Fall Color: A Photographer’s Guide to Autumn in the Sierra” by G Dan Mitchell and I’ve already read through it. It has a lot of info about some of the best places to go in the Sierras and some other photography tips. If you are planning on going to the Sierras anytime soon this fall, please check out the book at the link below. I’ve also posted a picture of the cover of the book.

It was a miserably hot weekend here in the Ventura area. It’s mid October and who knew that along the coastline it could reach 95 degrees this time of year?! I had the air conditioner on most of the day and part of the night on Saturday. Now, who said there was no such thing as global warming? Wake up politicians and world leaders. It’s time to take action!

I’m off to do some more reading on photography and finish my trip plans. Have a great week everyone!
