I finally know where I’m going to go in the fall! It took a little while to work out the logistics, but I’ve made the first reservation for the trip and off to a solid start.
So, drum roll please < quiet drum roll in the background>. I’ll be going to four new national parks and the winners are…
1) ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK
2) BLACK CANYON OF THE GUNNISON NATIONAL PARK
3) ARCHES NATIONAL PARK
4) CANYONLANDS NATIONAL PARK
The first reservation was the most important. It basically made the trip more appealing and more structured as the rest of the trip flowed around it. The first reservation is for Rocky Mountain National Park. It’s on the east end of the park in a small little cabin. I’m really looking forward to that part of the trip. I still need to make the other reservations, but the one for the Rocky Mountain was the most important and probably the most difficult as it books up really fast. The other reservations will be made in the next week.
Oh, and of course I’ll be making a stop at Cedar Breaks National Monument since it’s on the way up and on the way back. Below is an image of Cedar Breaks on my last trip up there in 2021. I may just have to see if I can camp up there one night under the stars! 🙂
Have a great week everyone!
