I’ve been going through my archives of photos and been thinking about what I’d like to photograph in the future. I’d really like to take a trip up to Washington and take photos of Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier, but not sure when that will take place. Yes, I’ve been procrastinating on the idea…mostly because I want to go when the weather is right for photography.
In the meantime, I’ve been looking at my photos of Yosemite and have come up with two future photo books I’d like to create in regards to the national park. The books wouldn’t be your typical photo books and will probably take some time to create. I’ve already started sketching them out and will hopefully be able to start the photography end of work in the next couple of months.
Will it take a while to do the books? Hard to say. There is quite a bit of research involved, so I’m looking toward a fairly long journey on the projects. They’ll definitely be a labor of love, so I’m really excited about them.
After going through several Yosemite Photos, I came across one from 2013 that I’ve liked for a while and have posted it below. I took the photo at Siesta Lake, after an early winter snowfall. The reeds of grass poking through the snow and ice around the lake were inspiring. The snow on the hillside of the lake was what most skiers would call “powder”. It felt like I was putting my hand in a pail of flour. Definitely great memories of a beautiful day.
Have a great week everyone!
