Without a doubt, the Hubble telescope has one of the most sophisticated camera systems ever put out into space.  The images taken by the telescope are black and white.  Since the photos are black and white, ever wonder how scientists get those absolutely beautiful color images of galaxies far away?  Click on the following link to see how it is done:

I’m getting ready for my early September trip to the Eastern Sierra and Yosemite high country.  Lots of hiking to be done and photo opportunities.   It’s always nice to get away from the big city and get into the natural world.  🙂
