I really enjoyed my time in Lassen Volcanic National Park. My one regret on my last trip is that I did not plan more time to explore this absolutely amazing place.
Below are two photos I took right as I entered the park. One is of Manzanita Lake with Lassen Peak in the distance and the other is the Loomis Ranger Station at the north end of the park. Next time I’m there I want to hike the whole lake and take in Reflection Lake, which I completely overlooked! I don’t know what I was thinking that day!
Just a reminder, it’s the Centennial Anniversary of the National Parks in the United States. Go visit your local national parks and enjoy all they have to offer. We should all be very proud of these wondrous locations. If you live outside the United States, go visit YOUR local national parks! Below are some links to national parks worldwide…and it looks like Australia may be the front runner with the most national parks! They have five hundred!
