It’s Yosemite Time Once Again And A New Exhibit Coming To The Annenberg

I’m preparing for a trip to Mammoth and Yosemite in the next month. This time I’ve decided to hike in an area just South of Tenaya Lake. The trail is about 14.5 miles round trip and should take a good portion of one day. The location I’m hiking to is called Clouds Rest and is supposed to have some of the most incredible panoramic views of Yosemite, possibly better than being on top of Half Dome. It should be an interesting hike. I’ll be taking lots of photos and will post them on my blog and website.

Below are two photos I took fairly recently in Yosemite on a weekend turn-around trip to the park. I read Michael Frye’s blog on the dogwoods blooming and on the changing foliage, so I just had to pack up the car and check it out for a couple of days. Definitely was worth the quick trip.

Back in L.A., the Annenberg Space for Photography is preparing for their new exhibit –   Country: Portraits of an American Sound. The exhibit will show images of the pioneers, poets, and icons of country music and runs from May 31, 2014 – September 28, 2014. Admission is free to the Annenberg and parking is $3, except for Sundays when it is $1. Check it out if you get a chance. If you are not a country music fan, I’m sure you will still enjoy the exhibit and possibly learn a lot about the history of American music.

Have a great week everyone!
