On my last trip to Yosemite in October 2023, I spent two nights in Sequoia National Park before returning home. I first went to Kings Canyon National Park through the Big Stump entrance station off of HWY 180 and spent a little time around the Grant Grove Village.

Since I had never been up to the Panoramic Point Overlook, I decided to visit it after lunch. Talk about a teeny tiny road! However, the payoff was an incredible view of Kings Canyon National Park! Below is an image I took while up there.

It’s an incredibly rainy day here in Southern California. There are flood warnings everywhere and I see a TON of water on the streets outside my window. If you live out this way, be careful driving and don’t go out if you don’t have to! This week we’re expecting a lot of rain, which is much needed, but also can be very dangerous.
