It’s almost time for me to leave for Lassen Volcanic National Park in the next few weeks. There was a little bit of snow in the area last week and there’s going to be quite a bit of rain in the following week. I’ve checked with the visitor center and most concessions will be closed, but the visitors center will be open on Saturdays and Sundays. I’ll be staying just outside the park in a town called Old Station, which luckily has a gas station and other amenities.
I’m hoping to catch some nice fall color, but since I don’t know the seasons of the area that well, it’ll be a hit or miss. Either way I’m going to enjoy the time up there. Then it’s off to my favorite cabin in Yosemite. 🙂
Below is a link to a .pdf on fall color in the Easter Sierra. Check it out and see if you have time to visit the amazing fall color in the area.
Have a great week everyone!
