It’s that time of the year again and this time I’m not going to be late with my entry! The National Geographic Photo Contest 2015 is in full motion now and I’m hoping to take a great photo during my fall 2015 trip up north that I can submit to the competition. There have already been a number of images submitted that are absolutely astounding and the website for the competition is definitely a great place to go to be inspired. Check out the images at the following link. And while you’re at it, submit one of your own! You never know unless you try…

I picked up a really nice book at the store the other day. It’s called California’s Fall Color: A Photographer’s Guide to Autumn in the Sierra by G Dan Mitchell. Most of the information in the book I already know, but it doesn’t hurt to have a little more. The book is making me think of spending a lot of time on the eastern side of the Sierras during my upcoming trip. Lundy Canyon; Lee Vining Canyon; Convict Lake. All those locations are beautiful this time of year…not to mention Devils Postpile. Looking forward to an amazing fall season in the mountains.
Have a great week everyone!
