Crater Lake looks amazing when it’s a clear sunny day, but add a little dramatic overcast sky and it really looks incredible! Below is an image I took on my last evening at Crater Lake in October 2024. I think that evening I enjoyed the most out of all the time I spent at the lake.

So, where am I going to travel to this year? I’m not sure yet. I’ve been searching some areas, but nothing really seems to be popping out at me yet. This coming weekend I’ll be spending some time scouring through maps to get a better idea of the region I want to go to. I do have reservations for Yosemite already in place for fall which I’m looking forward to.

I’ve been thinking of a short trip to Joshua Tree National Park may be in order soon…
